| This is one of four rockets I fired today. The first three had end plug blowouts and didn't go anywhere. I determined that this could be fixed by adding a "delay" to the top of the propellant that isn't cored so the endplug wouldn't have to be subject to such great pressures and therefore fire correctly. This rocket was 22 in. long, had a dia. of 1 in. and was powered by a 4 in. long, 1/2 in. dia. engine. It didn't get great altitude, but at least it didn't blow up. |
